- To provide the most authentic musical
rendering of jazz music form the blue note era
(1955-1965) possible
- To provide a musical interpretation
based on historical accuracy, integrity, and deep study
as well as musical caring and sincerity
- To play with the most highly
qualified, experienced, and trained musicians in the San
Francisco North-Bay Area
- To bring alive music that has been
virtually lost and is unfamiliar to even the most ardent
jazz fans
- To rekindle this music and carry the
torch of the most vital, heartfelt, soulful, groove music
of the blue note era into the 21st century
- To use this specific style as the
model for the development of our own original
compositions
- To reach great heights within the
music itself and to raise the standard of listening,
performance and professionalism in the San Francisco
North-Bay Area
